Beads, Wristbands and Bracelets

The beads featured on this page can be worn on a simple piece of thonging as a necklace or woven into a wristband. Wristbands and bracelets can be woven from a choice of three different types of thonging. Our standard wristbands are always woven from cord thonging which gives a medium-chunky wristband. Alternatively leather thonging can be used for a thicker, more robust finish or flax for a thinner one (as available) - if you wish to have your wristband woven from leather or flax, please let us know. The sizes are adjustable and they have a tie closure.

Iceni bog oak Hare bead

This bead is carved with a running Hare and is crafted from bog oak which comes from the area of the historic Iceni tribe in Britain. Boudicca, the infamous queen of the Iceni, fought fiercely to protect her people and land from the Romans. The wood is a beautifully dark colour and feels full of positive energies.

Irish bog oak bead with love bindrunes

This bead is crafted from bog oak and is carved with two bindrunes for love. The wood is from Ireland and is some of the oldest we've worked with. It was dated through dendrochronology by Belfast University and was found to be felled in 3,023 BC at an age of 400 years which makes the wood almost five and a half thousand years old. It is a beautifully dark colour and feels full of positive energies.

Burr oak Awen bead
