Different trees have
different energies which can have quite an influence on how a
magickal item, such as a wand or staff, responds to your working.
Before you decide on which type of wood is best suited to your
purpose, it may be worth having a look through the pages of tree
properties to get an idea of the various energies of the different
trees. For example, Rowan is excellent for protection whilst Birch
is a tree of healing and cleansing. On the pages of tree properties
you will find information on the name origins, folklore and magickal
uses associated with the different types of wood.
On each page there is
a table detailing the general availability of the wood and also the
suitability for various magickal tools. The types of wood may not
all be available at any one time but if there is a particular wood
