Ancient Oak Thorn Box (TH128)

This beautifully tactile box is lovingly handcrafted from the root of an ancient holloway oak. The piece contains a wonderful range of textures and markings within the gnarled wood, giving the box an organic and grounded feel.

The lid is newly carved from windfallen yew from a tree which dates back to the Saxon Age, and feels full of positive energies. The lid rests gently in place with a slight friction hold, rather than a tight seal.

The base has bindrunes for ancestral connection and protection added.

The box is finished with an acorn and a Hampshire hazelnut. The hazelnut has a spiral added, an ancient symbol of life and lifeforce.

This reusable and versatile box is perfect for storing blackthorns, hawthorns, dried herbs, or other small spellwork essentials.
