Birch Witch (WTC07)

This newly crafted free-standing figurine is carved from birch wood into a strong and powerful witch. Her hair is made from birch roots, and the natural bark has been left intact on the body, giving a wonderful contrast of colour. The piece feels full of positive and protective energies.

The witch has a woven cloak, raven feathers and a raven's foot, along with a string of rowan berries and two hare bones - one with red ochre added. The red ochre is from a traditional source - the Luberon mountains in France.

The figure is finished with a medicine bag containing more dried rowan berries, traditionally associated with protection, and our herb blend, created from herbs which are traditionally also considered to aid protection and bring energies of peace.

The figure itself is also filled with our protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of Winter Solstice-gathered blackthorn.
