Holloway Oak Root Protective Spirit (PS126)
This simply shaped Protective Spirit amulet has been newly carved from the root of a windfallen oak. The tree grew within a beautiful holloway - a lane walked by people dating back into the mists of time (read more here). The piece contains a wonderful range of tones and markings within the wood.
There is a sense that the figure invites being held, making it perfectly suited for holding during meditation or sleep. Alternatively, it's just the right size for slipping into a pocket and holding in the hand whilst walking. It's recommended that the amulet is placed into a small, soft bag (a cotton drawstring bag is ideal) to protect it when carried, etc.
The free-standing amulet is filled with our protective herb blend, which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of Winter Solstice-gathered blackthorn.
On the front of the figure, a deeply carved bindrune for protection, designed to be traced with your fingertips - enhancing your connection to its energy.
The back of figure has Old Norse runic script saying "Til verja", meaning to protect, and the eyes are finished with garnets.
