Rowan Witch (WTC08)

This newly crafted free-standing figurine is carved from rowan wood into a strong and powerful witch with hair made from birch twigs. The natural bark has been left intact on the body, giving a wonderful contrast of colour and texture. The piece feels full of positive and protective energies.

The witch has a woven cloak, raven feathers and a raven's foot, along with a string of rowan berries, a Hampshire hazelnut with a spiral added, and two hare bones - one with red ochre added. The red ochre is from a traditional source - the Luberon mountains in France.

The figure is finished with a medicine bag containing more dried rowan berries, traditionally associated with protection, and our herb blend, created from herbs which are traditionally also considered to aid protection and bring energies of peace.

The figure itself is also filled with our protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of blackthorn.
