Protective Spirit Figure (PS098)
This Protective Spirit figure has been newly carved from the root of a yew. The tree grew within a beautiful holloway, a lane walked by people dating back into the mists of time (read more here). The piece contains a wonderful range of colours and markings within the wood.
A deer bone bead, a string of dried rowan berries, and an animal bone has been added, coloured with red ochre from the Luberon mountains in France, known as a traditional source of natural pigments.
A medicine bag completes the figure, along with raven and kestrel feathers. The bag contains dried rowan berries, long associated with protection, and our protective herb blend, a mix of traditionally revered herbs known for their protective and peaceful energies.The figure is incredibly tactile, making it a pleasure to hold during meditation or ritual use.
Inside, the figure is filled with more of our protective herb blend, created from herbs respectfully gathered near the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed with a plug of heather.
On the front of the figure, a deeply carved Algiz rune—a symbol of protection—has been added, enhancing your connection to its energy.
