Rowan Protective Spirit Figure (PS114)
This Protective Spirit figure has been newly carved from created from a piece of rowan wood which is traditionally considered to be a tree of protection.
The figure carries a boar's tooth, and red ochred hare bone. The ochre is from a traditional source - the Luberon mountains in France. A Hampshire hazelnut is finished with a spiral, an ancient symbol of life and lifeforce.
A medicine bag completes the figure, along with a woven cloak, and a silk scarf. The bag contains dried rowan berries, long associated with protection, and our protective herb blend, a mix of traditionally revered herbs known for their protective and peaceful energies.Finally, a bundle of raven's feathers and a raven's foot can be seen at the back of the figure in the last photo.
Inside, the figure is filled with more of our protective herb blend, created from herbs respectfully gathered near the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed with a plug of heather.
The figure is incredibly tactile, making it a pleasure to hold during meditation or ritual use.
