Sacred wood. Ancient stories. Crafted by hand.

Rowan Witch (WTC10)

Sold out

This natural and earthy witch figurine was created from a piece of rowan wood which is traditionally considered to be a tree of protection. The figure is incredibly tactile, so feels good to hold during meditation or for ritual use.

She wears a woven cloak and a silk scarf. She is adorned with a string of dried rowan berries, a red deer antler tip, a Hampshire hazelnut and a medicine bag. The hazelnut and antler tip are both finished with a spiral, an ancient symbol of life and lifeforce.

The bag is also filled with dried rowan berries and a protective blend of dried herbs and plants from folklore, which are traditionally considered to aid in protection and sleep.

Finally, the witch carries a bundle of raven's feathers and a , bringing the hare's associations with luck and fertility. Like many of the animal and bird parts that we use, the hare's ear was respectfully gathered during our countless woodland ambles. Covering many miles of countryside, and over many years, we sometimes discover the natural death within the life of land. It feels fitting to occasionally respectfully gather them, and to then celebrate the life of the animals and birds by using them to adorn these figures.

The figurine is filled with more of our protective herb blend which includes herbs respectfully gathered from the land surrounding the sacred site of Stonehenge. The herbs are sealed inside with a plug of heather.

A bindrune for protection, love, or ancestral connection can be added to the base for no extra charge. Please add a note to the message box during checkout (or simply email [email protected]) to request this.
