Holloway Oak Thorn Box (TH130)

This beautifully tactile box is lovingly handcrafted from ancient holloway oak wood. The piece contains a wonderful range of textures and markings within the gnarled wood, giving the box an organic and grounded feel.

The lid rests gently in place with a slight friction hold, rather than a tight seal. It is newly carved from bog oak from the Glastonbury area of southern Britain, the fabled Isle of Avalon. The wood is around 3,200 years old and is beautifully rich and deep in colour - feeling full of positive energies.

The box is finished with an acorn, and a Hampshire hazelnut with a spiral added.

This reusable and versatile box is perfect for storing blackthorns, hawthorns, dried herbs, or other small spellwork essentials.

If you'd like, some dried mugwort can be included with your box, or a bindrune for protection, love, or ancestral connection can be added to the base for no extra charge.
